A Novena Remembering

Sr. Dorothy Stang

February 4-12, 2011 



Please join us as we remember Sr. Dorothy Stang SNDdeN who was martyred six years ago in the Amazon Rainforest. She read the Beatitudes to her attackers before she was killed.


Her Sisters (SNDdeNs) continue her work today. Her spirituality is still very much alive--guiding and challenging us.


Day 1: Blessed are the poor in spirit...

Day 2: Blessed are the sorrowing...

Day 3: Blessed are the lowly...

Day 4: Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice...

Day 5: Blessed are they who show mercy...

Day 6: Blessed are the single-hearted...

Day 7: Blessed are the peace-makers...

Day 8: Blessed are those who are persecuted for holiness' sake...

Day 9: Blessed are you when they insult you...


These nine reflections are the creations of four Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, Sisters Margaret Hoffman, Joan Krimm, Kay McMullen and Jacinta Martinez. The reflections also feature Sr. Margaret's rainforest artwork.
