Sr. Josita Colbert SNDdeN

Sister Josita Colbert of Windsor, CT has recently celebrated her Golden Jubilee as as Sister of Notre Dame de Namur. She has been involved in Vocation Ministry for more than 18 years in various roles. Prior to this vocation ministry, she has taught and administered in primary and secondary schools throughout the United States. In responding to her students' needs, she established an evening high school tutorial program designed to assist young people in their quest for a college education. Sr. Josita has been instrumental in the development of programs reflecting the diversity of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. These programs assist women who are discerning the call to Notre Dame. In addition to her vocation responsibilities, she serves of the NRVC (National Religious Vocation Council) Standing Committee on Black vocations and is Co-Chair of the NBSC (National Black Sisters Council) Vocation Committee.

Sr. Mary St. Kisai Corripio SNDdeN

Sister Mary St. Kisai Corripio has been a sister for eleven years, just professing her perpetual vows in 2009. Before joining the vocation team, she served for six and a half years in the Archdiocese of Boston’s outreach to ethnic Catholic communities. Sister Mary is a native of Louisiana, the daughter of Cuban immigrants. She spent several years teaching English in Japan, entering the Sisters of Notre Dame first in that country before returning to the States in 2001. Sharing the Notre Dame story is the part of vocation ministry that Sister Mary most enjoys, telling the stories of women with "hearts as wide as the world participating in the liberating mission of Jesus Christ."
